The Police Dispatcher is a feature in Driver: Parallel Lines.
Similar to previous Driver titles, the dispatcher can be heard when the player has Felony. It is a transmitter used by the city police to communicate with the Police Headquarters.
The dispatcher is present in both eras. In the 1978 era it is a male dispatcher using radio transmission, while in the 2006 era it is a female dispatcher. In 2006, a transmission beep can be heard before and after dialogue.
Reports of crime in the city can be heard while inside the Police Headquarters during the mission Bear Cage.
Information such as the player's current location (by borough), heading, vehicle type and any offenses that are committed can frequently be heard over the radio, even when on-foot.
